Are Window Regulators Safe?
Window Regulators nowadays employ a safety circuit which detect a binding or resistance during the closing phase and reverses itself safely to prevent accidental pinching.
The window regulators are controlled by an electronic module which are programmed the full-open and full-close positions within the specific door. Each controller will from that point forward memorizes and counts the exact stopping point of the glass inside the window-channel, and any resistance during its travel to its absolute destination will be translated as a bind and the window will reverse itself. Each window regulator will have to be initialized during a motor or regulator installation.
AUTOSCOPE will make sure your windows are initialized during any window regulator replacement. Sometimes when an electronic system is reset, the windows and sunroof may have to be re-initialized for proper operation.
